James Tumbridge has been awarded AIPPI UK's annual prize for the best contribution made by an eligible person to a Question that is intended to be discussed at an AIPPI international meeting, and has opted to use the prize to fund attendance at the AIPPI Executive Council meeting in Singapore in October 2007.

Tony Rollins has been appointed as UK member of the Special Committee Q109 (Patent Cooperation Treaty).

Michael Edenborough has been appointed as UK member of the Special Committee Q85 (Community Trademark).

Daniel Brook of Lovells was awarded the UK AIPPI prize for his work on questions 186 (Punitive damages as a contentious issue of Intellectual Property Rights) and 188 (Conflicts between trademark protection and free speech). His prize was awarded to him at the recent AIPPI talk held on 6 April 2005.
