I would like to register for the following AIPPI UK event:
9 January 2012 (6pm)
Preparation of UK Group Working Question Responses for AIPPI
Seoul 2012
One of the most important aspects of the work of AIPPI is its analysis,
in Working Committees, of various intellectual property issues from
a comparative law perspective, and the resolutions that result from
such work that are negotiated and voted on at its international
meetings and which recommend to legislators the approach to adopt
to such issues. The fruits of previous such labours, which constitute
an invaluable resource as to comparative law, can be found in the
responses to and resolutions as to various Working Questions that
can be accessed at:
https://www.aippi.org/?sel=questions&sub=workingcommittees
and
https://www.aippi.org/?sel=questions&sub=dissolvedcommittees
As in previous years the UK Group will be making its own contribution
to this work by preparing its responses to the new Working Questions
in the first quarter of 2012. A set of kick-off meetings
will take place in January 2012 on a date to be arranged, but in
the meantime those who want to be involved in the drafting of the
UK response to such questions can contact either me or the relevant
question leaders, set out below under each Working Question, for
further details.
Those of you who are members of AIPPI UK and are aged 35 years
or less on 1st January 2012 will be eligible for the AIPPI UK Prize,
given annually to the person who in the opinion of the Council of
AIPPI UK makes the most significant contribution to the UK response
to a Working Question.
