8 December 2011 (5.30pm for 6pm)
The "Star Wars" Case perhaps no longer in a Court Far, Far Away?

Michael Bloch Q.C. and Alan Bryson (Wilberforce Chambers)

Lucasfilm v. Ainsworth opened up a new hope for enforcement of overseas IP rights in the UK courts. As well as discussing the copyright aspects, Michael and Alan will review the important and controversial justiciability aspects of the case, and the effect which that may have on the appeal of the UK courts as a forum in which to determine infringement of foreign IP rights and to enforce them.

Venue: Bristows, 100 Victoria Embankment, London EC4A 0DH
Cost: £20 (non-members), free (members)
Drinks will take place afterwards.
