The UK group of AIPPI organises talks and research events concerning intellectual property throughout the year. Our events count for CPD under the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board and IPReg requirements.

Most events provide drinks afterwards and the opportunity to meet the speakers and other attendees.

Attendance at our events is free for members and new applicants for membership.

AIPPI UK Confidential Information Case Study

This session will be a practical workshop discussing how to add value to your client’s (or your company’s) confidential information management programme. This will be a case study session where we will consider a confidential information leak and analyse how that could have happened and what mitigations could be introduced. It will be an opportunity to take a holistic view of confidential information management and to share expertise and know-how as to best practice.

The session will be led by Dr Emily O’Neill who spent 7 years as Chief Counsel – IP for a listed company, supporting the 100+ subsidiaries in managing their IP.

Learning Outcomes

• Consider the most common areas of corporate trade secret vulnerability

• Define the practical steps to implement trade secret and confidential information management systems and processes

• Take a holistic overview of confidential information management
