Events

The UK group of AIPPI organises talks and research events concerning intellectual property throughout the year. Our events count for CPD under the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Bar Standards Board and IPReg requirements.

Most events provide drinks afterwards and the opportunity to meet the speakers and other attendees.

Attendance at our events is free for members and new applicants for membership.

FRAND – what is happening?

With the recent handing down of two substantial judgments in the InterDigital v Lenovo and Optis v Apple cases together with the proposed EU SEP Regulation there is a lot to keep up with. Do not worry as help is at hand as Sophie Lawrance (Bristows) and Tess Waldron (Powell Gilbert) have kindly agreed to speak to us about these recent developments focussing on what the developments mean for UK litigators acting for patentees and implementers in this space. This will be a hybrid event but if you are able to attend in person please do as there will no doubt be a lively discussion.
